Physical Therapy for PPEC Patients

PPEC facilities are required to meet specific state licensing and certification requirements in order to provide high-quality care for children with complex medical needs. In Florida, PPEC facilities must adhere to strict regulations and standards set forth by the state’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). At Florida Pediatric Care Centers, PPEC physical therapy is offered as part of the holistic care that children receive when they qualify for PPEC. Our team of experienced physical therapists work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child.

Medical Daycare Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on the evaluation and treatment of children with a wide range of conditions affecting their physical development and function. Physical therapy plays a crucial role in helping children achieve their developmental milestones, improve their balance, coordination, and mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life. Children who have developmental delays, neurological disorders, genetic conditions, orthopedic injuries, or other physical impairments can benefit greatly from pediatric physical therapy. This type of therapy is tailored to the unique needs of each child, taking into account their age, diagnosis, and individual goals. At Florida Pediatric Care Centers, we provide exceptional care with physical therapy for PPEC patients. Our team of licensed physical therapists have extensive experience working with children with complex medical needs and use a holistic approach to care. We work closely with each child’s healthcare team to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals.

Who Qualifies for PPEC

PPEC is for children from birth through age 20 who are medically fragile or have complex medical needs and are medically stable. A child’s doctor prescribes it. If your child already qualifies for home nursing, they will very likely qualify for PPEC. Call or text us and we will help you find out. If our center is not the right fit for your child, we will refer you to one that is.
