PPEC Medical Daycare Services in Miami Gardens
Florida Pediatric brings nursing, therapy, learning and play together under one roof in Miami Gardens. Your child is cared for by pediatric nurses for up to 12 hours a day, receives the therapies their doctor orders without leaving the building, and spends the day with other children. We pick them up in the morning and bring them home in the evening at no cost to you.
PPEC Nursing Care
Pediatric nurses are with your child all day. They give medications, manage feeding tubes and tracheostomies, monitor breathing and heart rate, and follow the care plan your child's doctor has ordered. Our nursing care replaces home nursing, so your family does not have to coordinate a separate nurse at home during the day.
PPEC Behavioral Therapy
Some medically fragile children also need help with behavior, emotions and social skills. Behavioral therapy is part of our team, and it happens during your child's day at the center.
PPEC Physical Therapy
Physical therapy helps your child build strength, balance and movement. Our therapists set goals for each child and work toward them on site, so there is no extra trip to an outside clinic.
PPEC Speech Therapy
Speech therapy supports children who have trouble talking, understanding language, or feeding and swallowing. Sessions take place at our center, and what your child practices is carried into the rest of their day.
PPEC Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy works on the everyday skills children need: using their hands, eating, getting dressed, and playing. Our therapists build these skills step by step toward more independence.
Free PPEC Transportation
Getting to care should never be the reason a child misses it. We offer free pick-up and drop-off at your home, and free transportation to your child's medical appointments.
PPEC Recreational Activities
Children at Florida Pediatric are kids first. Play, music, crafts and celebrations are part of every week, because happy children do better in therapy and in health.
PPEC Educational Program
Learning continues while your child receives care. Our educational program uses activities matched to each child's age and abilities to support early learning, communication and social skills.
Philosophy
Good pediatric care looks after the whole child and the whole family. Three ideas guide our work: 1. Every child is different. We build care around the individual child, not the diagnosis. 2. Families set the goals with us. Parents know their child best, so we plan together and keep you informed every day. 3. We work as one team. Nurses, therapists and care staff share goals and information, and we listen to families to keep getting better.
Mission
Our mission is to give medically fragile children in Miami Gardens the nursing, therapy and learning they need in one safe place, and to give their parents the freedom to work, study and care for the rest of their family knowing their child is in good hands.
